Spring Update 2025 – Support, Setbacks, and the Road Ahead

Introduction

It’s been a short while since our last update—but that doesn’t mean we’ve been idle. Quite the opposite. This spring has brought new supporters, unexpected challenges, and a powerful reminder of why our work matters. In this post, we’ll share a bit of everything: funding news, upcoming plans, and a glimpse into our latest trip to Ukraine.

New Supporters of Spring

While we didn’t receive the funding we had hoped for this spring, our search for sustainable support continues. We're actively exploring new funding channels and brainstorming creative ways to keep Fineod operational. In the meantime, we remain deeply grateful to those who continue to stand by us.

A special thank you goes to Toni Mikkola, who supported us with a 100€ Support Certificate this spring. Every contribution helps us continue our mission—and we truly appreciate it.

Will There Be New Ways to Support Fineod?

We've heard this question a lot lately: Will there be more ways to support you?

Currently, our supporters can choose between Support Certificates and ongoing Support Plans. We’ve recently added the option to pay via MobilePay—making it a bit easier for those in Finland. (We’re working on getting this visible on our website soon.)

Since Fineod operates as a limited company, we can’t legally accept donations. Instead, we’re working on offering items and services of real value that supporters can purchase to help fund our operations. More on that soon.

Trip to Ukraine – April 2025

This spring, we received a request to deliver a vehicle to Ukraine. We had one ready—but someone needed to drive it there. Aria took on the task.

What seemed like a straightforward trip quickly turned into something more complex. A last-minute detour to Kyiv opened up valuable conversations with local partners—but also brought unexpected challenges on the road, both literally and logistically.

Despite the twists and turns, the mission was a success. The vehicle was delivered, relationships were strengthened, and important groundwork was laid for future cooperation. It was a reminder that even the most practical tasks can test our resilience—but also move the mission forward in meaningful ways.

Looking Ahead

Our next trip is planned for summer, where we aim to resume our core focus: training. The need for qualified mine clearance professionals continues to grow—and we’re committed to meeting it.

As always, we’ll keep working behind the scenes: building partnerships, creating training materials, and making sure we’re ready when the time comes.

Final Thoughts

To our new and longtime followers alike: thank you for being here. Your support—whether through funding, sharing our work, or simply following along—makes a difference.

We’ll be back with more updates soon. Until then, the work continues.
