Terms & Conditions

General

 

1. User agrees to use the online service only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not violate the law, other regulatory provisions, these terms of use, Fineod's or any third party's rights, or good conduct.

2. Fineod Oy strives to ensure that the online service contains up-to-date information and is continuously available and uninterrupted. Fineod has the right to freely and without notice change the content of the online service. Disruptions to usage, due to changes, technical reasons, or regulatory requirements, will be kept as brief as possible.

3. Fineod has the right to terminate the online service it maintains at any time without separate liability for compensation. Users will be notified in advance of the termination of the online service on the respective online service page and, if possible, by email.

​

4. Fineod is not responsible for any damage or indirect, incidental, or consequential damage arising from the content or use of the online service, or, for example, from interruptions or disruptions in the use of the online service. Fineod's liability for damages is also excluded for direct and indirect damages caused to the user by any harmful programs or incorrect content contained in the online services.

5. Fineod does not take responsibility for the content of external pages linked in the online service, and cannot guarantee the functionality of the links or be held accountable for any problems or damages resulting from the use of these pages. Users can report non-functional links to info@Fineod.com.

6. Certain parts of the online service and electronic transactions with Fineod require registration. A registered user is responsible for keeping their username and password secure and maintaining their contact information up to date. A registered user is liable for all use of the online service with the respective username and password. If a user suspects that their password and username have been compromised, they should immediately update their information in the online service.

​

7. Fineod has the right to close the user account if it receives a report of unauthorized access or suspicion thereof. The user account may also be closed upon the user's separate written request (e.g., by sending an email to info@Fineod.fi) or if Fineod discontinues the maintenance of the respective online service.

8. Fineod has the right to close the registered user's account and prevent access to the online service if the user shares their username and password with another person, causes disruptions to Fineod or other users through the use of online services, provides substantially incorrect information during registration or later during the use of the online service, or otherwise violates these terms of use, legislation, regulatory requirements, or good conduct.

​

9. Corporate users are responsible for designating another user within their organization for a given username and password at their own risk. The company must ensure that the contact information for the username is updated in the online service.

​

10. The online service contains material protected by Fineod's intellectual property rights, and spreading, publishing, copying, making available to the public, or any other use of the material for purposes other than one's own use of online services is not permitted without Fineod's separate written permission. It is permissible to link to the material in Fineod's online service without Fineod's separate permission, as well as to use the material in exercises or educational assignments, citing the source.

Users should contact Fineod in advance for any matters related to the use of Fineod's logo.

11. Any material uploaded by the user to the online service must not infringe on Fineod's or any third party's intellectual property rights, laws, regulations, these rules, or good conduct. Fineod reserves the right to remove such material and/or block its use at its discretion, at the request of authorities, or based on a third party's notification, and if necessary, prevent the user from using the online service.

12. The ownership of the material uploaded by the user to Fineod's online service remains with the user, and Fineod does not have the right to use the user's uploaded material in its own or others' marketing. The user grants Fineod the right to modify, copy, publish or not publish, make available to the public or not make available to the public, in whole or in part, the material uploaded by the user to the online service. This right includes presenting the material in promotional contexts within the online service.

13. These terms of use are valid indefinitely. Fineod can modify these terms of use at any time by publishing the changes in the "Terms of Use" section of the online service. By continuing to use the site, the user accepts the modified terms.

These terms of use, as well as any possible disputes arising from the online services, their contents, or use, are subject to Finnish law, and any disputes will be settled in the Helsinki District Court.

Sales Terms

​

Supporter Certificates: Customers purchasing Supporter Certificates are acquiring a document certifying their support for our humanitarian demining activities with a specified contribution.

All Supporter Certificates come with a 14-day return policy. If you decide to cancel or return your Supporter Certificate, please notify us within 14 days from the original date of purchase. Return the certificate within the specified timeframe (If already posted & received), and we will process your refund.

The Supporter Plans: Customers subscribing to The Supporter Plans enjoy benefits such as a year-long blog subscription, access to reports, and other tier-specific privileges. All purchases of The Supporter Plans are eligible for a 14-day return policy from the date of purchase.

Each Supporter will receive a certificate. As specific areas are cleared, Supporters will receive updated certificates reflecting their contribution.

Payment & Prices: All prices are listed in the applicable currency and include any relevant taxes. Prices may vary depending on the selected certificates and Supporter plan tiers. Payments are securely processed through our online platform. The buyer pays the purchase price via bank transfer, online payment, credit card, unless otherwise agreed. Prices are subject to change, but any adjustments will not affect ongoing agreements. The company reserves the right to introduce new pricing or adjust existing prices with reasonable notice to the customer. The seller is not obliged to disclose the location of supported missions at the time of transaction.

Clearance Process: Fineod Oy commits to maintaining and clearing the supported missions in accordance with agreed-upon standards during its projects. The clearance process encompasses environmental improvement, mass destruction of mines, area reconnaissance, clearance planning, and other company activities. Supporters will be regularly informed about the progress of the clearance process. Delivery times may be influenced by actions and the general security situation in the destination country or the company's holidays and other normal circumstances.

Termination of Agreement: Either party may terminate the agreement with immediate effect if the other party is in material breach of its obligations. Upon termination, the customer is entitled to a refund for any outstanding services not yet provided.

​

Applicable Law:

The agreement is governed by Finnish law. Disputes are primarily sought to be resolved through negotiations between the seller and the customer. If a dispute related to the sales contract cannot be resolved through negotiations between the parties, the consumer may refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board. A link to the online dispute resolution platform (Art. 14, EU Regulation No 524/2013): Online Dispute Resolution, and if necessary, disputes are handled in the Helsinki District Court.

Delivery Terms:

 

Delivery Schedule: Supporter Certificates and physical benefits in Supporter Plans are dispatched regularly once or twice a month. As projects progress, we ensure timely delivery of all benefits to customers upon completion.

​

Project-Related Benefits: Our commitment is to keep customers informed about project updates. Any changes to schedules will be promptly communicated to our customers.

​

Delays and Compensation: Recognizing the anticipation involved, we offer customers equivalent benefits or services if, within one year of the purchase date, expected benefits are not delivered due to project progress. â€‹

 

Communication and Customer Service: Customers receive timely information on deliveries and any potential changes. Our customer service (info@fineod.com) is ready to assist customers with inquiries in both English and Finnish.

Shipping Costs:

Shipping costs vary based on the destination and chosen delivery method. Customers will see shipping costs during the order process before making a payment.

​

Receipt and Inspection: It is advisable for customers to inspect received items promptly. Any errors or damages should be reported immediately to our customer service.

​

Returns and Complaints: Customers have 14 days to return items from the date of receipt. In case of damaged or incorrect items, customers can contact our customer service for return instructions.

​

Additional Note: To ensure transparency and customer satisfaction, if circumstances beyond our control prevent the delivery of project-related benefits within one year of purchase, we are committed to providing alternative benefits of equal value.

These delivery terms apply to all orders in our online store. The company reserves the right to modify these terms as needed, with any changes communicated to customers via email or on our website.

Return Policy

​

General Return Conditions: For both Supporter Certificates and The Supporter Plans, customers have a 14-day return policy from the date of purchase. To initiate a return, customers must contact our customer service (info@fineod.com) within this period. Our customer service is available to assist you in English and Finnish.

​

Return Procedure: Once a customer has received or canceled an order and contacted customer service for instructions, they must return the received certificate within 14 days. A refund will be processed upon the return of the physical certificate to our office. The usage of images or copies of the certificate is prohibited.

For The Supporter Plans, refunds will be issued upon notification of the return request, provided the plan does not include physical items. The customer's access to services and privileges will be immediately revoked upon cancellation.

Physical Goods Return: In cases where physical items, such as certificates or other tier-specific physical benefits, these items must be returned to us in 14 days of the original purchase. Upon receiving the returned items, a refund will be processed.

​

Refund Process: Refunds will be issued within a reasonable timeframe upon the successful completion of the return process. The refund amount will exclude any non-refundable items or services.

​

Exceptional Circumstances: In exceptional circumstances, such as damaged or defective goods, we reserve the right to evaluate returns on a case-by-case basis. Customers are encouraged to contact our customer service team promptly in such situations.
